Chicago Reader Review

"It's indeed timely—set in Nazi-occupied Prague during 1942-1943, the play is ultimately an exploration of how easily fascism can take hold during periods of uncertainty. More intimately, it's a study in the ways people are conditioned to respond when fascism comes slinking through their front door."

Windy City Times Review

"Primlani's carefully researched narrative recalls an espionage thriller, its suspense revolving on the evasive tactics of the Resistance fighters... audiences seeking reassurance are more likely to respond to the play's exhortation to courage expressed, not in reckless deeds, but in kindness, compassion and resilience. We're all in this together, after all."

Utopia

Developed by Pork Filled Productions, Seattle. Performed at the National Women's Theater Festival, 2020.

Anyone can be anything they like in Utopia. They believe in Utopia. They love Utopia. The older generation came to Utopia to save the world. But their kids are starting to have different ideas. When Robin decides she wants to Unplug at the urging of a rebellious leader, her father Tom must convince her to stay in Utopia. But does Tom want to stay in Utopia? What is Utopia anyway?

DePaulia Review (Chicago Paragon Fest)

"'Utopia' gave me a deeper insight about Primlani's glorious craft and intention in her scriptwriting. She described a father-daughter relationship ... [and] ... how essential love was in the creation of intense discord between the two characters."
